A dual arm boom microscope gives rigidity not found in an articulating boom stand. The dual arm has a heavy counterweight on the opposite end of the stereo microscope head allowing for a balance of the weight. Also, the dual arm boom stand is built much heavier and solid than either a normal classic design or the articulating style. This added weight makes it better for microphotography as there is less vibration or shaking of the stereo microscope head during video or photo capturing. If you need a high end stereo boom stand, consider using the double arm boom stand with counterweight. The small increase in cost of the stand is well worth the extra benefit received. We have binocular and trinocular stereoscopic heads, with fixed magnifications and zoom magnifications. Pricing and quality on the optics varies.
